Kristy's History with the Platters |

The Platters are Performing nightly at the Sahara Kristy
(aka “Kristy Love” Brooks) has performed as a member of “The
Platters” since the 1970’s when she joined the original
company under manager, Buck Ram, who would replace the members as
they left. At
that time, this group had the official Platters title (handled by
Ram, who help copyright title to the name)
Kristy was approximately the 10th
replacement for Zola Taylor, the original “Platters Dish”.
Under her then stage name, Kathleen Lewis, she toured the
country with “The Platters” playing major venues in Las Vegas,
Miami, Pennsylvania, Denver and across the country.
She performed as a member of “The Platters” in a number
of Richard Nader’s rock’n’roll revival shows in the 1970’s
with Bill Haley and the Comets, Chubby Checker, and others.
These performances are recorded in the history books in
Irwin Stambler’s, “The Encyclopedia of Pop Rock and Soul”.
Under the Buck Ram company, she re-recorded such hits as
“My Prayer”, “Only You”, and “Smoke Gets in Your
Eyes”.

copyright info click here After a solo career, an RCA record deal, and two children, Kristy rejoined “The Platters”, in the early 1990’s with (now) DCPM Entertainment who have rites to the Buck Ram Platters copyright. With this group, she has performed all over the world in places which include Hong Kong, Singapore, Hawaii and more.
