Dr. Kathleen Kristy Brooks

Motivational Speaker 

Dr. Kathleen Kristy Brooks has been a motivational speaker for many years.  However, most inspiring is her life experience.  Driven by self determination, love of family, and her faith, she has accomplished the acquisition of five degrees:  Doctor of Education, Master of Education, Master of Science, Master of Arts (Columbia University) and Bachelor of Arts (Michigan State University).  She published her Dissertation, “Dreams”, a three act musical.  Dr. Brooks successfully wrote, produced and directed three musical theatre productions.  She accomplished this while raising two sons and working as an administrator in the school system. Her accomplishments as an educator and speaker are enhanced by her celebrity status as a member of one of the world’s most famous singing groups, “The Platters”.  

Her leadership skills and charismatic personality were noted by Superintendents who selected her to create innovative programs for the Arts in Education.  During that time she led workshops in “Arts In Education” for the United Federation of Teachers.  She also worked with corporations such as Colgate Palmolive in mentoring, developing motivational programs, conflict mediation skills, leadership, moving vision to outcomes. 

Her speaking engagements are more than just a speech.  They are inspiring and entertaining, as she incorporates her fascinating singing and knowledge of the arts to keep the participants engaged in a life changing experience.  Her warmth and enthusiasm are unmistakable tools for translating a message of “you only have to believe it, and it is done”.  “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” (Thomas Edison)  She uses humor, audience participation, music, and drama to touch the heart, mind and soul of her audience.

Dr. Brooks’ Motivational Speaking can range from 20 minutes to an all day workshop. All day workshops could include, Dr. Patricia Heisser-Metoyer, Psychologist and UNLV Professor of Cultural Diversity; Michael Wilson II, former owner of Tony Robbins motivational speaking franchise and former VP of Detroit Tigers; and other celebrity speakers.
